QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025

We are ranked 9th in the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. 

The rankings, announced in March 2025 assessed over 55 subjects from over 5,200 institutions across the world, based on academic and employer reputation, citations per academic paper, impact and quality of research and international research collaboration factors. 

We are consistently ranked among the top 10 Classics departments globally in the QS listings, and we stand alongside eight subjects ranked within the top 50 for their field in Durham University.
