Professor Junjie Wu
Professor Junjie Wu is the Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise at Aston University, a position she took up in 2024. She also serves as an Honorary Professor at Durham University. Professor Wu holds a PhD in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, where she also earned a DPhil in Biomaterials and a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Parallel Computing. Her academic journey includes a tenure as a Career Development Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at Oxford. Professor Wu's research is inherently multidisciplinary, encompassing Biomaterials, Mathematical Modelling, Tissue Engineering, Biomechanics, and Biotribology. As a Principal Investigator, she has secured various prestigious research fundings and awards, including the Rosetrees Interdisciplinary Award and the Royal Academy of Engineering Global Research Award.
