A volume to which Dr Vika Ivleva contributed the article ‘In-Between the Global and the Local: Silk in Seventeenth- and Early Eighteenth-Century Russia’ has been awarded the Association of Dress Historians (ADH), Book of the Year (BOTY) Award 2024.

In-Between Textiles, 1400-1700: Weaving Subjectivities and Encounters, a decentred study of how textiles shaped, disrupted, and transformed subjectivities in the age of the first globalisation, to which Dr Vika Ivleva contributed the article ‘In-Between the Global and the Local: Silk in Seventeenth- and Early Eighteenth-Century Russia,’ has received the Association of Dress Historians Book of the Year Award 2024 and has been shortlisted for R.L. Shep Memorial Book Award of the Textile Society of America.

In-Between Textiles was edited by Dr Beatriz Marín-Aguilera and Professor Stefan Hanß, and was published by Amsterdam University Press in February 2023.
