[09/24] Sharing lessons-learned from running an interdisciplinary and bilingual workshop

Dr Rebekah Harries, Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) at Durham University, and Dr Elizabeth Orr, Career Development Fellow in the Department of Geography at Durham University, presented on their experience running a relationship building workshop centred around Sediment Cascades and Climate Change in Chile earlier this year.

They stimulated discussion around how do we meaningfully and equitably engage with diverse groups of people, including researchers, practitioners, and affected community members and what barriers are there to doing this?
