In May 2019 the Quality Council for UK Higher Education published a Statement of Intent recommending that every higher education provider across England should publish a 'Degree Outcomes Statement' articulating the outcomes of regular reviews of undergraduate degree classifications awarded, and their arrangements for teaching, learning and assessment of students, academic regulations, and academic governance.

Durham’s Degree Outcomes Statement presents the findings of our internal review and sets out how we protect academic standards and the value of our awards in accordance with the UK Quality Code and the Office for Students’ ongoing conditions of registration.

The Statement is reviewed annually and approved by the University Education Committee prior to publication.
