Responsibilities

The Executive Dean (Science) is responsible for the strategic development and financial performance of the Faculty of Science. A key academic leader, supporting and enhancing research and teaching performance within the Faculty and an important ambassadorial role for her Faculty and the University.

Professional background and expertise

Jacqui came to Durham from the University of Sydney where she was Head of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

She has chaired the Australian Laureate Fellowship Selection Advisory Committee and is a Fellow of the Australian Mathematical Society (of which she is currently President) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of New South Wales.

Jacqui’s research interests overlap algebra, analysis and geometry and she has won awards for her teaching and contributions to the research environment.

Education and qualifications

Jacqui holds a BA, MSc and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
