Mitie Limited contract

UEC has considered the Mitie Limited contract which has the option for an extension from October 2023.  UEC agreed to this extension of two years, to allow a transition period with a view to bringing the contract in-house. This would, of course, be subject to any appropriate consultation with relevant Mitie Limited staff. 

In the meantime, we are working with Mitie Limited to offer enhanced benefits for staff on the core contract, specifically relating to harmonising annual leave entitlement to a level comparable with that offered to Durham University employees. We have informed our campus Trade Unions.
