Finance Alumni Online Event with Special Guest Speaker Hu Yuqing

Mr. Hu Yuqing is the Managing Director of Pacific Resources Trading Pte. Ltd. Being a professional manager, Mr. Hu has profound knowledge and longtime practice in project management, structured finance, new business development, risk management and M&A. He also has rich experience in commodity trading and derivatives. 

Mr. Hu started his career in 1986 and held various management roles in different large organizations during a successful career of more than 38 years. He joined China CITIC Group in 1994, as senior manager and then division head of CITIC Group Strategy and Planning department, leading overseas M&A in energy and resource sector. His main achievements in CITIC include deal structuring for CITIC’s civil construction works in Algeria, Angola and Venezuela that helped CITIC entering into a total of more than USD50 billion contract. He also initiated CITIC’s USD2 billion acquisition of an upstream oilfield in Kazakhstan.    

Mr. Hu was a British Chevening Scholar graduated from Durham Business School as a full-time MBA student in 2001.  

He was on the China executive committee of Durham Business School Alumni.
