Alumni Gathering in Durham

As we continue to reinvigorate the North East Alumni Network, we are delighted to host an event at the Lounge in Durham University Business School. Arrival from 6pm, followed at 6:30 by a talk from Professor Stephen Willis, with networking from 7pm onwards.

Professor Willis is a two-time Durham graduate. He is now Director of Research and Deputy Head of Department in Biosciences, as well as leading the University Estates Biodiversity Group. His own research is global in extent, working to protect biodiversity from Pole to Pole and many places in between. Closer to home, he works with conservation organisations to understand and protect UK wildlife. His talk will focus even closer to home, based around the new university Biodiversity Strategy and highlighting some of the work the university is doing across its estate and in the local area.

The event is free to attend and light refreshments will be served.
