Sexual Health

The Student Support and Wellbeing Directorate work in collaboration with the NHS County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust Sexual Health Team to provide access to free condoms, Sexual Health Roadshows, resources and student signposting.

This partnership has meant we are able to offer students access to a Sexual Health Clinic run by NHS nurses every Thursday, 10am-4pm, in term time at Maiden Castle. To make an appointment, please call 0191 372 8700.

If you cannot make the Thursday clinic for whatever reason, St Margaret's Place offer appointments Mondays and Tuesdays, 9am till 7pm. Appointments can be made by calling 0191 372 8700.

The NHS offer a range of online and postal Sexual Health Services students can access, for example STI testing kits and free condoms.

Current students can visit our internal Sexual Health pages.

It is beneficial that you are registered with a Durham GP for your wellbeing and to access medical help when you need it.

You can find all the information on how to do this on our Essential Medical Information page.
