Founded in 2019, Durham University Gaelic Football Club (DU GAA) is a club dedicated to the advancement of 'Gaelic games' - in particular, Gaelic Football - at Durham University for the benefit of it’s staff and students. The Northeast has a rich history of Gaelic football due its large Irish diaspora, and we are proud to welcome many students from both Northern Ireland and the Republic here at Durham University.
Anyone, whatever their experience, is welcome to come down to one of our regular taster sessions to explore this amazing sport. DU GAA looks to nurture both new and established talent and support its members to compete for the university. DU GAA has traditionally competed in the BUCS Gaelic Football League where we compete against other university teams north of the border across central and southern Scotland.
