Rugby league is back! Newly reinstated, Rugby League is back at Durham University for the 2022-2023 academic year. The team have recently returned to the BUCS North League, which Team Durham had previously won in the 2017-18 season. The team hope to replicate this success in the upcoming year under the coaching of the esteemed veteran coach, Mike Thompson, from Newcastle Thunder.

It’s an exciting time for University Rugby League which is growing rapidly following the 2022 World Cup. There were over 40 teams as of last season and even more soon to enter competition. There is no better time to come and play the game of Rugby League. Durham's team welcome all skill levels whether you’ve never played before, are a Union player or an experienced League player.
