Durham Ultimate Frisbee, better known as DUF, is one of the top University Ultimate Frisbee teams in the country, having sent multiple men’s, women’s, and mixed teams to both Indoor and Outdoor Nationals in 21/22 and 22/23. The club also has a strong track record of producing GB and Junior GB athletes. DUF is one of the University's most welcoming and accepting sports societies. We are a mixed-gender, mixed ability and inclusive club devoted to spreading our love of Ultimate Frisbee and creating a fun training environment, in which you can casually or competitively immerse yourself in. Most of our players arrive at Durham with no experience. Freshers are welcome and highly encouraged to attend training. Even if you have never played before, we would love to welcome you to our club and introduce you to the fun and interesting world of Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee has its foundations in goodwill and respect called the ‘spirit of the game’. This permeates into the club as a whole and it aims to be inclusive while also giving every member a chance to develop and improve as much as they can.
We run many training sessions each week encompassing split gender and mixed teams in both indoor and outdoor training. This allows our players to experience a wide range of approaches to Ultimate and involve themselves as much as they like. We also hold frequent socials throughout the year, which are a great way to get to know others in DUF.
