Early Career Research Fellowship funding opportunities

There are a number of Early Career Research Fellowship funding opportunities coming up early in 2024, and the Department of Earth Sciences at Durham University is inviting applications:

  1. Royal Commission 1851 Research Fellowships: the deadline for these fellowships is Monday 8th January 2024, Midday.
  2. Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships: the external deadline for these is February 2024. For this scheme, the department can submit up to 2 proposals, so an internal selection procedure is set up for this, with an initial notification deadline of Friday 15th December 2023.
  3. Newton International Fellowships: this call will open for applications on 17 January 2024, so ‘watch this space’.
