UKIPO Northern Network Event at Durham Law School

On 24 February, Angelia Jia Wang hosted the UKIPO Northern Network event at Durham Law School, supported by the Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy (CSDLP).
The event brought together the UK Intellectual Property Office, the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre, and academics for a full day of discussion on intellectual property and artificial intelligence, cultural heritage, and feminism. It was especially encouraging to see strong participation from students and early career researchers throughout the day.
Following this collaboration, Dr Wang has also been invited to serve as an expert member of the UK Intellectual Property Office’s Expert Advisory Group, further strengthening the School’s engagement with national policy development in AI and IP governance.
