Their talks are titled 'The Center for Optics and Photonics at NARIT: Building Thailand’s Future in Advanced Optical Instrumentation for Astronomy and Beyond' and 'NARIT’s Ultra-Precision Laboratory for Astronomical Applications and Space Missions'.

The Rochester Lecture 2025: The Route to Attosecond Light Pulses
When an intense laser interacts with a gas of atoms, high-order harmonics are generated. In the time domain, this radiation forms a train of extremely short light pulses, of the order of 100 attoseconds. Attosecond pulses allow the study of the dynamics of electrons in atoms and molecules, using pump-probe techniques. This presentation will highlight some of the key steps of the field of attosecond science.

Over the last decade, physicists have learned to assemble "atom by atom" a synthetic quantum matter. This seminar will present one example based on laser-cooled ensembles of individual atoms trapped in microscopic optical tweezer arrays.
