Short Term Opportunities

Many overseas institutions offer the opportunity to gain an international experience for a short period of time. These short term opportunities are typically in the format of a summer or winter school, which are usually around 4 - 6 weeks in length. Typically summer opportunities are advertised from January onwards.

There are two types of short term opportunities:

  1. Summer opportunities supported by the Global Opportunities Team
  2. Independently arranged fee-paying summer or winter schools

Summer Opportunities supported by Global Opportunities

There are a small number of summer short-term opportunities where we, in conjunction with the partner, are able to offer lower or no-fee places. These are offered via a competitive application process and the current opportunities are listed below. Students will be supported by the Global Opportunities team throughout the process.

Fee-paying Summer/Winter Schools

A number of our partner institutions offer summer and/or winter schools. Most programmes are offered in English, however, there are a number where you can study in a foreign language.

These opportunities are on a fee-paying basis, organised directly through the provider. The Global Opportunities team will provide guidance where possible, however the onus would be on the student to complete any necessary application.

All fees and costs are payable by the student to the partner directly. These opportunities are listed below and are not eligible for Turing funding.
