Eligibility

If you would like to apply to come to Durham as a Fee-paying exchange student you should:

• have completed at least 1 year of study at undergraduate level.

Study Periods

Please specify whether you wish to attend:

• Study Period 1 (Oct - Dec/Jan)
• Study Period 2 (Jan - June)
• Full Year (Oct - June) 

The modules that you select may depend on which study period you attend.

Choosing modules

On the application form you will need to select modules for your proposed course of studies:

• Students are allowed to take modules from a maximum of 3 departments.
• A separate Module Handbook entry is published for each academic Department and contains information on modules and academic requirements. These are found on the Programme Information page (link below).

To apply for the Fee-paying programme please complete the application form and return it to the Global Opportunities Team by 

• 31st March 2025 for Study Period 1 (Oct - Dec / Jan) and for full-year (Oct - June) study abroad
• 31st October 2025 for Study Period 2 (Jan-June)
