Information

Friction plays a crucial role in many phenomena from the molecular diffusion of solutes within cells and the function of our joints to industrial machinery and car engines. This meeting will bring together world leaders in the field together with early career researchers to discuss recent developments, open questions and new ways forward in light of potential industrial applications. Graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and early career academics are particularly encouraged to attend. The meeting will cover both hard and soft nanolubricated systems (including biological).
