Durham University is delighted to announce the opening of applications for two prestigious donor-funded opportunities: The Graham Earp Scholarship in Sustainability and The Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) Scholarship in Risk. These awards reflect our commitment to empowering the next generation of global thinkers who are ready to drive meaningful change in some of the most pressing environmental and societal challenges of our time.

Both scholarships invite talented international students to join Durham in September 2026 and pursue postgraduate study within the Department of Geography—one of the world’s leading centres for research and teaching on sustainability, climate change, hazards and risk.
