In his book, AI and the Value Alignment Problem (Broadview Press, 2025), Travis LaCroix tackles the ethical and practical problems surrounding AI. The book overviews the fundamental social and ethical dilemmas posed by AI, their wider implications, and the effects of algorithmic decision-making ion our wider society. Through numerous case studies, Travis illustrates the complexities of ensuring that our present-day AI systems, such as predictive policing align with human values. 

Speakers talking about the book include Fintan Mallory (Philosophy) and Alex Campolo (Geography).
