Celebrating five years of applied research collaboration across the North East and North Cumbria

This week, the 15 NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) in England celebrate their fifth birthday – marking five years of working together regionally and nationally, to develop and deliver applied health and care research that tackles some of our most pressing needs.

To mark this milestone, NENC ARC have developed a short animation to share a snapshot of just some of the things we’ve achieved since our five-year funding began in October 2019.

In 2023, we were pleased to receive an extension to our initial five-year funding, which will take this iteration of our ARC North East and North Cumbria up until March 2026.
