Dr Frances Cole (WRIHW Honorary Fellow) and Professor Paul Chazot (Director, WRIHW Pain Challenge Academy) say thank you to everyone who attended the first ever Live Well with Pain Footsteps to Change Conference 2025 in Birmingham, and for all your contributions and support on the day.
There was a genuine enthusiasm among those attending to make a difference to the lives of people with long term pain and to embrace new ways of working to achieve this. We will need a bigger venue next time (200 attendees, with many more wanting to attend). We look forward to continuing to support this process of change, so that people with pain will be able to access the knowledge, skills and support they need to live well despite their persistent pain.
The conference covered from the AHSN award-winning Durham university-LWWP GOTT Feasibility programme in the NE, to the current expanding national 10 Footsteps programme and beyond...https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/20494637241291534
