Biography

I am a postgraduate researcher interested in the application of glacial geomorphology and sedimentology to understand contemporary glacial dynamics and reconstruct Quaternary palaeoglacial landscapes. My experience has focused on interpreting glacial geology in relation to the dynamics of the last British-Irish Ice Sheet, and the use of Icelandic glaciers as modern analogues to produce landsystems models to better conceptualise deglaciated basins.I am currently pursuing a Masters by Research concentrating on the use of sedimentology and UAV techniques to quantify the subglacial environment of Icelandic glacier forelands. Data were collected via research expedition to Iceland in summer 2025, funded by the RGS Geographical Fieldwork Grant and Durham Geography Graham Earp Scholarship.Current thesis title "Emphasising the importance of plucking and ploughing processes in the production of subglacial landforms and tills across Icelandic glacier forelands: a case study of Sandfellsjökull, east Mýrdalsjökull"
