Research interests
- My background is established in Sociology and Social Policy; after completing the Foundation in Social Sciences year as a mature student, I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Policy and Crime in 2017 with a Class I. From here I went onto complete my MA in Social Research obtaining a Distinction. I then progressed onto my PhD which focused on military parents accessing inclusive education for their children. I am an experienced mixed methods researcher. In my previous role as a researcher, I managed two funded projects: ‘Exploring the Employment Experiences of Serving Partners’ and ‘Understanding Service Children’s Transitions in Education’. The projects were designed through co-production which informed the aims and objectives of the projects. I was responsible for running the co-production meetings and was also the chair of the Expert Reference Group’s.
- My research interests centre on marginalised communities, social justice, and co-production.
