Biography
Gregory Knight graduated with a BSc in Molecular Biology in 2022 and an MRes in Biotechnology in 2023, both from Newcastle University, UK. In 2024 he joined the Centre for Programmable Biological Matter at Durham University, as a PhD student, where his research focuses on the use of AI and machine learning to design proteins for biological applications. His current projects involve using AI-design to create and evaluate synthetic proteins aimed at enhancing plant immunity to phytopathogens.
