Biography

Dr. Huijun Tang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Engineering at Durham University, UK. She is the recipient of the 2025 IEEE Hyper-Intelligence Technical Committee (HITC) Award for Excellence in Hyper-Intelligence (Early Career Researchers), awarded for her contributions to AI-driven edge computing.

Actively involved in the academic community, she serves as the Co-Coordinator for TC WICE/YP/Student Services for the IEEE Next-Generation Networking And Internet Technical Committee (NGNI TC). Additionally, she serves as a Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the IEEE Internet of Things Magazine , a Session Chair for IEEE INFOCOM ICCN 2025 and IEEE ICWS 2024 , and a reviewer for top-tier journals including IEEE TMC and IEEE TITS. She has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for several international conferences, such as IEEE INFOCOM FutureTelecoms 2025, ICPADS, ICA3PP, ICCCN, CCGrid, TrustCom, ICCC, SmartData, ISPA, and SustainCom. She also regularly reviews for academic journals, including IEEE TMC, TITS, TVT, and TCE.

Her research interests are in Edge Computing, Internet of Vehicles (IoV), Communication Optimization, and Deep Learning. She has published over 20 papers in top-tier journals and conferences such as IEEE TMC, TWC, TITS, INFOCOM, and IJCAI, with two of her works recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers (Top 1%).
