Biography

My Masters research is situated within critical density debates in Urban Geography. It specifically examines how residents learn to live with high-density urbanism through a neighbourhood case study in Singapore. Drawing on literatures spanning density, housing, and learning, and assemblage theory, I seek to understand the power-laden processes through which dense living is normalised, negotiated and adapted to over time. In doing so, I aim to stretch notions of density beyond technocratic metrics and spatial logics, towards understanding it as a lived, learned, and negotiated condition of urban life.

My broader interests include Postcolonial Urbanism and Popular Geopolitics. Previously, my undergraduate Honours Thesis investigated the interconnections between video games and geopolitics, examining how players respond to them through the case study of Genshin Impact, a Chinese-made video game.

My everyday experiences and encounters have strongly shaped my research interests, passion for inquiry and personal growth. I am always happy to connect with others to learn from their experiences, aspirations, and life stories.
