Biography
Molly is a PhD researcher working on AmadoriZyme, a project focused on developing novel enzymatic solutions for breaking down Amadori compounds found in laundry and dish soils. Her work centers on engineering new amadoriases and flavoproteins capable of degrading these products, drawing on a toolkit of Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering, and Structural Biology. In parallel, she uses Proteomics and Microbiology to uncover how previously unstudied microbes metabolise Amadori compounds as carbon sources, broadening our understanding of their ecological and industrial significance.
She completed her integrated Master of Biology in Biotechnology and Microbiology at the University of York, where she first developed her passion for protein engineering.
