Asian Access

Asian Access is a new residential programme that aims to inspire, empower and support Asian heritage students from across the United Kingdom to apply to Durham University.

Asian Access offers Year 12 students from Asian heritage backgrounds the opportunity to visit our campus and get an insight into studying at Durham University. During the summer school, students will stay in one of our colleges and take part in a programme of social activities and subject-specific academic sessions, working towards a guaranteed alternative offer from us. Applications close on Sunday 19 April 2026.

Check your eligibility

As places on Asian Access are limited and highly sought after, we use our eligibility and selection criteria to help us identify those applicants who we feel will most benefit from the programme.

Choose your subject

For some subjects, you will need to meet specific requirements, such as A-levels or equivalent in your subject area, which also applies when applying for university through UCAS in Year 13. We will consider these when allocating subject strands.
