Publication of the Boundary Breaking report 'The Cross of the Moment'

The project explores the ecclesial and cultural implications of the child abuse crisis in the Catholic Church in England and Wales.

The report, published by Dr Pat Jones, Dr Marcus Pound and Dr Catherine Sexton, is the culmination of a four-year research project which includes interviews with different groups within and beyond the Church who have been directly affected by the crisis.

It looks at the culture and theology of Catholic teaching that had implications for the abuse, and considers new perspectives and practical paths to take forward in synodal and restorative approaches at various levels of the Church.
