Marine Ecosystem Conservation Workshop and Lunch at Lamma Island, Hong Kong
Join the Durham University Hong Kong Alumni Chapter for a workshop on restoring Hong Kong’s marine ecosystem, followed by a delicious Cantonese lunch at Lamma Island.
The workshop contains activities designed for children and adults, with the aim of spreading awareness on the need to restore our marine ecosystem, fishery culture conservation and sustainable development. Attendees will experience recycling shellfish shells from restaurants and restoring fragmented fishnets from local fishermen. The workshop is a collaboration between the Sustainable Ocean Alliance, a global youth-led organization that empowers young leaders and ecopreneurs to build solutions that restore the health of our ocean, and local organizations based on Lamma Island (including Life Jungle and Lamma Fisherfolk Village).
