We are one of the largest concentrations of teaching and research in finance in the UK. We offer a full spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate teaching & research, and professional education & research in finance and cognate areas.

We are a well-established centre of excellence in finance and have a strong track record of delivering exciting and impactful research (Durham University Business School c1965). Our faculty have published across a range of topics in elite journals such as the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Financial & Quantitative Analysis and the Review of Finance. Our research has been cited in news outlets such as the Financial Times and CNBC. Outputs from our research have informed financial policy, the practice of finance and banking as well as delivering technology used in the everyday activities of financial practitioners. We have several licensed patents and products that include significant research contributions from our colleagues.
