The Centre for Leadership and Followership (CLF) is delighted to invite you to an upcoming research seminar and workshop with Denise Potosky, Professor Emerita of Management and Organization at Pennsylvania State University. Professor Potosky will deliver two sessions, on 24th and 25th March, focusing on the timely and critical role of AI in academic research, particularly its use in literature reviews and the implications for academic integrity, AI literacy, and research productivity.
Abstract
AI literacy refers to understanding how AI tools work, how and when to use different types of tools responsibly, and how to think critically about the impact of AI on research outcomes. This workshop aims to build AI literacy by demonstrating different types of AI tools that can be used for literature reviews and discussing the implications of researchers’ AI tool choices.
About the Speaker
Denise Potosky, Ph.D., is Professor Emerita of Management and Organization at Penn State University. Her expertise spans organizational behavior and human resource management, with a particular focus on personnel selection and evaluation processes, leadership development, team dynamics and interpersonal communication processes during organizational change, and the impact of technology on management processes. Denise’s research on personnel assessment and staffing solutions emphasizes the development and implementation of validated, state-of-the-art tools, measures, and processes. Her work on leadership and teams focuses on communication and feedback processes, facilitating adjustment, and transformational change. A Fulbright laureate and recognized international scholar, Denise also brings expertise in numerous methodological approaches and research paradigms. Her work has been published in many of the field's leading journals, including the Academy of Management Review, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Human Resource Management Review. Beyond her academic contributions, Denise is a master facilitator and management advisor who provides resources and guidance to keep teams connected, harness the power of human agency and ingenuity, and generate engagement, understanding, and vision alignment in modern technology-enhanced work settings.
