On Tuesday 20 July, the School held an online celebration to mark the graduation of MBA students from the Durham full-time and online programmes. This followed the University’s virtual conferral ceremony, due to ongoing Covid restrictions earlier in the month.
The Zoom event aimed at recognising the efforts and achievements of MBA students was organised by the School’s alumni team along with faculty and staff. Open to the family and friends of the students, it also recognised their support in the students’ success and allowed everyone to meet, albeit virtually.
Over 80 students, and their families and friends from around the world, connected to the hour-long event. Attendees were welcomed by Professor Julie Hodges, Associate Dean for MBA and DBA Programmes, before the MBA Programme Directors announced the prize-winners from the respective cohorts.
Following the presentations, there was also the opportunity to hear from Executive Dean, Professor Susan Hart, who added her congratulations and encouraged the graduates to apply their learning to shape a more sustainable and equitable world, in line with the School’s mission
