Location

Collingwood College is a “Hill College” (a collection of Colleges just to the south of Durham City). We are based just a 15-20 minute walk away from the City Centre and Elvet Riverside Lecture Theatres, and only 5-10 minutes away from the Teaching and Learning Centre, The Bill Bryson Library and The Palatine Centre (depending on how quickly you walk, of course!)

Collingwood is a large site with lots of outdoor space to enjoy, including a large grassy area we call “The Meadow”. Thanks to an alumni supported landscaping project, you will find many wonderful trees, shrubs and flowers around the College, as well as a range of outdoor benches and seating areas. We border the Botanic Gardens, and many of our students pop over there for relaxing walks.
