Junior Common Room (JCR)

Our undergraduate Junior Common Room is a self-governing, student-run charity. It is the largest common room, comprising around 1,100 students. The JCR helps organise the Induction Week for new students, runs many sports and societies, provides arts provision and organises many of the events in College. In previous years, the yearly calendar culminates in Grey Day, where all College members come to Grey for a day of music and relaxation, and the Phoenix Ball, where coaches take students off-site for a formal meal, music and entertainment, then brings them back for a silent disco on Grey lawn.

The room itself is situated beneath the dining hall and is used as a relaxed social space, as well as a venue for events.
