Post-Offer Visit Days (POVD) 2026

Welcome to Grey College

Our staff and students are looking forward to welcoming you to Grey! Grey College is a wonderful, welcoming community full of #Greytopportunities. 

The visit days will give you a taster of college life at Durham University. Come and explore Grey College during our drop-in sessions. POVD Event dates are 14thMarch and 25th April 2026 and the college will be open 10am-4pm.

Grey College is a medium-sized college with just under 1,300 undergraduates and 150 postgraduates. The main site is located on South Road, close to the Mountjoy Site, Bill Bryson Library and main campus area.  We have additional college accommodation for postgraduates at Ernest Place, which is located in North/East Durham.  

Come and join us at one of our Post-offer Visit Days in 2026 to experience college life at Durham University. You can join us for a College tour, and chat to our current students and staff about the experience of Grey and all that we offer!

College Tours

Get to know Grey College better on one of our student-led tours of the college site. These will run throughout the day from the Junior Common Room (JCR).

College Tour Information 

College Tours will be taking place throughout each Open Day from 10am from the Junior Common Room (JCR) in the main building. The last tour will be 15:45pm. Tours last for about 15 minutes and will give you chance to explore our facilities with a Grey College student guide and to ask questions.

College Welcome Talk Information

Prof. Sonia Virdee and Rhian Davies, the College Principal and Vice-Principal, alongside our Student Leaders will be giving a number of informal Welcome Talks during each Visit Day in the junior common room. Our welcome talk lasts around 10 minutes, and will be followed by the opportunity to ask questions before the chance for Offer Holders to experience a College Tour. 

 

College Activities
