Assistant Chef (Fixed term)

St John’s College is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Chef (Fixed term). The Assistant Chef works as part of a cohesive team that ensures an excellent and professional standard of food service is consistently provided to students, staff, visitors and conference guests. To work flexibly in line with business demands.

Responsible to:  

Chef Manager

Grade (St John’s College Graded Pay Scale) 

Grade 3

Salary FTE: 

£24,570 per annum

Working arrangements: 

35 hours per week worked over 5 days

Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 07.15-14.15

Alternating Saturday and Sunday: 07.30-15.00 / 11.15-19.00

Holidays: 

27 days annual leave plus customary days and bank holidays (pro rata)

Closing date: 

19 January 2026
