Academics, arbitrators, and practitioners will come together on 16 July 2023 at Durham Energy Disputes Conference to discuss energy disputes with a holistic approach. Recent geopolitical developments have indisputable effects on energy issues as well as the technological advancements and the requirements of the global energy transition pursuit. Energy lies at the heart of a large number of disputes both in commercial and investment arbitration. In addition to these, public international law disputes arising from energy issues have been growing lately. Three different panels in this one-day conference will explore these three different areas within the context of energy disputes.
