Durham Law School is delighted to announce that second year student, and 2024/2025 Employability Course Finisher, Oliver Scott has been awarded a highly competitive place on the Norton Rose Fulbright bursary Programme: Scholars for students interested in a career in commercial law.

Under this programme leading global law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, has offered bursaries of £5,000 for 10 first or second year university students who have shown a strong interest in a career in commercial law and meet the eligibility criteria.

The Dean of Durham Law School, Professor Volker Roeben, said:

“I am delighted to congratulate Oliver on his success in being awarded one of these highly competitive bursaries.  Oliver’s achievement follows his success as being in the first team of 3 to complete the Law School’s 2024/2025 Employability Course.”

Oliver Scott said:

"I am extremely grateful to have secured a place on the Norton Rose Fulbright Scholars Programme. This opportunity comes at an important stage in my development and will allow me to build my skills and understanding of commercial law within a global firm. I must thank Professor in Practice Philip Bennett and the Law School for the Employability Course, which has been instrumental in supporting my professional journey and preparing me for opportunities such as this."Purple Divider
