Subjects contributing to Natural Sciences

All subjects within the Science Faculty, except Engineering, contribute to Natural Sciences. Students must study at least half of their degree from one or more of these (Group 1) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology.

It is possible to combine the study of one or more science subjects with a subject offered from outside the faculty. Some of these contribute to various Joint Honours programmes (Group 2): Anthropology; Business, Geography, Philosophy. Other subjects (Group 3) also contribute to non-Joint Honours programmes (Sport, Education, Centre For Language Study). In addition, Economics can be studied but only as part of the named route with Mathematics.
