The physics department offers several modules that involve project work outside of the laboratory, allowing students to research topics in Physics that fall outside of what is covered in standard modules. Students are given the chance to produce both independent and group projects with guidance from a supervisor.

Students will gain skills such as:

• Planning independent projects
• Teamwork and group project management
• Reviewing established literature
• Independent, self-led research
