I hope you will have a great experience here as well as receiving a world class education. Our aim is for you to leave Durham University with the knowledge and critical thinking skills to make a real difference in the world.
I look forward to welcoming you and working with you over the course of your programme of study.
Professor Markus Hausmann
Hi there! My name is Merry and I’m in my third year studying psychology. Here in the Psychology Department at Durham we get a truly research led education, with lecturers often using their own work to give us a greater insight into methodology used and being truly passionate about what they teach. Smaller tutorials allow you to gain a more in-depth understanding of a topic as well as getting to know more people on your course. There are loads of different ways to get involved too, from being a course representative to becoming a research assistant. I have loved my three years here and hope you do too!
All information that you will need for your degrees at Durham can be found on our new Sharepoint Hub site for Psychology
For programme specific information, please refer to level-specific pages within the Hub.
The Timetable has been designed so College events don’t clash with any of your academic departmental events, but offer you lots of opportunities to meet your fellow Freshers, find your way around and settle into student life.
