The Faculty of Science is home to a diverse community of staff and students across eight academic Departments. We are recognised for research impact that directly benefits society.

Our computer scientists are enhancing x-ray technology, while our engineers are improving the wireless networks on which we all rely. Our psychologists are deepening our understanding of voice hearing, while our bioscientists are tackling the spread of malaria. In earth science we’re helping people stay safe when volcanoes erupt. Our mathematical science is supporting food safety and sustainability; and our chemists and physicists are partnering with Procter and Gamble on cleaning technology.
