As we approach the start of Epiphany term 2023, we've put together the following information about accessing our services and resources to help you get the most out of our libraries and collections this term.

Study spaces

We have a variety of study spaces across campus to cater for all types of learning, including bookable options at Bill Bryson Library for those of you who like to plan ahead. Whether you want to study quietly on your own, work with others from your course, or make use of our IT and connect to the University network, we have a space for you!

Where can I find study spaces?

We have study spaces available at our three libraries:

  • Bill Bryson Library, the main library on Lower Mountjoy
  • Barker Research Library, located in the historic Palace Green Library where our archives and special collections are held
  • ISC Library in Stockton-on-Tees, for use by staff and students living in the area.

Not only can you study in our libraries, we also have a number of designated study spaces available across the city, including:

Other study spaces across campus are also available, including Dunelm House, Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science Building, Calman Learning Centre and of course, within your College library.
