Student Art Prize Past Prizes

Our annual Student Art Prize was established in October 2019 to expand opportunities around the visual arts within the University and to develop a new permanent student art collection.

Student Art Prize 2019/20

The theme chosen for this first iterance was ‘diversity’, a subject chosen to allow a wide range of exploration and conceptualisation by the artists.

Student Art Prize 2020/21

The theme was Heroism, with all shortlisted artwork displayed in the online Art Prize exhibition, and as part of the annual Summer in the City arts festival.

Student Art Prize 2021/22

The theme was Hidden, with a new separate prize fund for artworks that fall under the category of photography, thanks to the increased generosity of our alumni.

Student Art Prize 2022/23

The theme was Sanctuary, with all shortlisted artworks displayed in the Palatine Centre between May 2023- March 2024, as well as in an online exhibition.

Student Art Prize 2023/24
