If selected to go on an exchange by Durham, the Global Opportunities Team will nominate you to the partner. After your nomination is confirmed, you will need to apply to the partner to register with them. Deadlines:

The normal study load of full-time students should be in the range of 15 to 18 credits of undergraduate courses per term. The maximum study load is 33 credits per year.
Students must have a CGPA of 2.5/4.0 or above.
Exchange students are welcome to take any undergraduate courses from across the curriculum. Some courses have pre-requisite requirements/restrictions and prospective students are advised to seek advice from academic advisers.
Most courses are available in English (prior knowledge of Chinese is not required).
Non-native English speakers must have a TOEFL score of 213 (computer-based), 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based), or an IELTS (Academic Module) score of 6.0 or equivalent.
All exchange students are required to live on-campus and share a room with another student during the entire period of stay at Lingnan. Accommodation has shared restroom, kitchen and laundry facilities. Rooms are randomly assigned.
Accommodation Fees:
Incoming exchange students are required to pay HK$7,215 upon acceptance. Depending on the actual room allocation, the hostel fee may be slightly lower and in this circumstance, students will receive a refund upon arrival. Lingnan requires all students to pay a refundable deposit of HK$1000.
All incoming exchange students are required to pay an air conditioning fee of HK$330 per term.

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) offers many services and co-curricular programmes to cater for students’ needs in support of their academic pursuit, and facilitate their whole-person development. This includes Counselling, Mentoring, Health etc.
Health and Insurance:
Students must have appropriate and adequate insurance covering travel, personal accident, medical expenses, hospitalisation and emergency evacuation/repatriation for the duration of the study period. Students are required to provide proof of coverage prior to arrival. More information is available on the Health & Insurance webpage.
