Our cutting-edge Institute for Medical Humanities (IMH) has been awarded a £9m Discovery Research Platform Award to develop a new Discovery Research Platform for Medical Humanities (DRP-MH).

The latest talk in our Durham Global Lecture series took place recently at the UK Ambassador’s Residence in Brussels.

First year law student, Miray Kose, has released her debut crime fiction novel Game of Iniquity, a dark and well-researched historical crime novel, set amongst the grimy opium dens and glittering political spheres of an increasingly criminal Victorian London.

Research by our Durham Law School has found that the set up and culture of music festivals can create dangerous spaces where sexual violence and harassment can be perpetrated. As we approach the music festival season, we caught up with Dr Hannah Bows to tell us more.

Work is now well underway on the first phase of the Norman Chapel Conservation Project. Visitors to Palace Green will be aware of the on-going work, with contractors and building equipment on site since November 2022. This first phase of the project has been part funded with £80k provided by the Wolfson Foundation towards the cost of restoration.
