Our Careers and Enterprise Team launched a new Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Toolkit at the 2025 Teaching and Learning Conference. Developed by academic and professional services staff across the institution, the toolkit provides an innovative, research-informed resource to support staff in embedding employability and real-world learning into the curriculum
The WIL Toolkit responds to increasing sector-wide calls to bridge academic theory and professional practice. It is designed to support colleagues across departments, regardless of disciplinary background or previous experience with work-integrated learning, by offering adaptable, accessible tools to support with curriculum design, partnership development and authentic assessment.

Launched at the Teaching and Learning Conference under this year’s keynote theme, “Disrupting the Default: Active Learning as a Pedagogical Imperative,” attendees received early access to the toolkit, with a live demonstration and Q&A session by the Careers and Enterprise Team during the afternoon breakout sessions.
